THE BOAT THE WORLD SAILS

The 470 has been Olympic equipment since 1976. After almost 50 years, the 470 is still the “right sized boat”, combining performance and accessibility. It is fast enough for Olympians but can be safely handled by novice sailors. It is durable enough to sail in winds of 25 knots+. It can be sailed by sailors of all ages, from 14 to sailors in their 80s. Best of all, it’s a lot of fun!
